Bissell is well known for making powerful carpet cleaners that are capable of professional-grade services. This is something that nearly any household should consider investing in at some point. Any family living in a carpeted property will need to get regular carpet cleaning to remove not only dirt and grime but also bacteria, germs, and allergens. A professional deep clean for your carpet can transform your property and leave it looking new again. At the same time, though, it’s also a matter of hygiene, and that’s what makes this an unavoidable process.

And by buying your carpet cleaner, you can effectively remove this regular cost and still keep your carpets looking brand new as often as you like. It only takes a year or so for these things to pay for themselves and that’s why it’s such a surprise that more homes don’t have them!

The only question is whether you need a professional grade carpet cleaner like the 86T3/86T3Q from Bissell, or whether you can make do with something more consumer-grade and affordable. This is very much at the professional end of the spectrum, with a powerful suction, lots of great features and a large volume for storing lots of water.

Performance

In terms of performance, the Bissell is one of the best in class. This is a very powerful product thanks to its large motors and great brushes. The rotating ‘dirt lifter’ power brushes are particularly efficient at lifting dirt from deeper in the carpet. High quality materials ensure great resilience, while an ‘anti-tip’ design helps to avoid catastrophe and dirty water all over your beautiful carpet!

What makes this a professional grade product is not only the impressive power but also the large solution tank, larger collection tank and long cord. The machine also allows for a very rapid drying time, which prevents you from getting wet feet as you move around the house!

Convenience

Like many of the carpet cleaners we review, the assembly couldn’t be easier. Out of the box, it’s ready to go.

One thing to bear in mind though is that this is also a very heavy item. This machine weighs a whopping 55.4 pounds which makes it difficult to push around and lift. Once you fill that huge tank with water, it only makes it even heavier. While the handle is a great design for pushing and pulling, it’s important to know that this is going to require a little bit of muscle to move around which might not make it ideal for everyone. Some have also complained that the large water tank, while practical in some senses, also takes a long time to fill which can make the whole cleaning process somewhat slower.

Some handy features include an adjustable tank handle with an ergonomic design that lets you get the perfect height for you and a great, comfortable grip.

Accessories

Included in the box are the cleaning machine itself, a 6’’ stair tool, a 9’ upholstery hose and two bottles of professional deep cleaning formula. This is always handy with these products as it means you get everything you need to get going as soon as your product arrives and don’t have to spend extra money or time trying to find the right detergent.

Warranty & Support

This model comes with the regular 2-year limited warranty.

Overall this is an excellent cleaner that sits at the more professional end of the spectrum. This means you get perhaps the deepest clean possible from this kind of device and this really is one of the top performers. At the same time though, it also means you’re dealing with a large, heavy tank that will be overkill for some people. Likewise, it means spending a little more money and sacrificing a little bit of convenience.

Who is this product for? Ideally this is for a family with a large home that needs to clean with a large volume of water, an office or even potentially a small cleaning business. This is not for young professionals living in smaller properties or for the elderly with less strength to move the unit around.
